Pajero — Grille & Bumper Design

A new face for an enduring icon

01Overview

As part of the development of the new Mitsubishi Pajero, we explored and developed different proposals for the front end, including grilles and bumper designs. The challenge was to evolve one of the Pajero's most recognisable elements without losing the identity and sense of capability that have defined the model for decades — a balance between robustness, presence and sophistication aligned with its new 'Grand Charisma' direction.

The grille proposals explore different expressions within one language, from a more horizontal, precise reading to a more technical, functional interpretation through honeycomb patterns, reinforcing the vehicle's width and integrating with the signature T-shaped lighting. In parallel we developed front bumper proposals, working volumes, protection and transitions for an off-road-ready look with the precision expected of the new generation.
