Destinator — Seat & Door Trim Design

Shaping comfort through surface

01Overview

As part of the development of the Mitsubishi Destinator, we designed the surfaces of the front seats and the front door panel, translating the vehicle's design language into direct contact with the user, in line with the Destinator's 'Gravitas & Dynamism' philosophy.

On the seats we worked the surfaces and transitions for a contained, enveloping presence, with a more stylised upper section that favours communication with the rear passengers. On the door panel we developed a surface that continues the cabin's horizontal architecture, creating a fluid transition between the instrument panel and the door trim.
